I'm not sure why I sin when it doesn't really get me what I want.
I mean, on a purely practical level, leaving God out of it for the moment, sin backfires every time.
gluttony ==> uncomfortable, gross feeling of being bloated
grudge holding ==> wasting time thinking about people I really don't like
snapping at my husband ===> less romance in my marriage
